Bio For Michael Mannino, Ph.D.
Neuroscientist, philosopher and athlete Michael Mannino has his PhD in neuroscience from the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, and Masters in Philosophy from California State University, Los Angeles. He is now Director of Programs at the Institute for Data Science and Computing at University of Miami. His brain research is in computational cognitive neuroscience, and focuses on complex information flow in large scale brain networks. Michael's research in the neuroscience of exercise focuses on how different fitness and exercise modalities affect the brain and its cognitive processes, from two frameworks in cognitive science: embodied mind and coordination dynamics.
